THERE ARE A FEW SIMPLE THINGS THAT CAN REALLY HELP TO PROMOTE YOUR EMOTIONAL CONNECTION.

1. PUT YOUR PHONES AWAY FOR THE NIGHT

Having your cellphone in bed with you is a distraction. Using your cellphone before bed can also have a negative impact on how quickly you fall asleep. Try to give your partner your full attention at this time.

2. DON’T TALK ABOUT WORK

Work does not belong in the bedroom. It can make you both anxious and distract you from each other.

3. TRY TO GO TO BED AT THE SAME TIME EVERY NIGHT

If you and your significant other head to bed together, at the same time, it can help you to feel more in sync with each other.

4. HAVE A ROUTINE AS A COUPLE

This can also help you to feel more in sync with your partner. It can also create stability in your relationship.

5. HAVE DEEP CONVERSATIONS

On occainsion an emotional conversation can round off the day nicely. Sometimes it can be nice just to talk about light subjects but touching on more serious subjects can help you reflect on things and touch base with each other.

6. AVOID ARGUMENTS

You need to stay away from negative energy before bed. Confrontation before bed can interrupt your quality of sleep.

7. KEEP YOUR KIDS OUT OF THE BED

Unless your child is suffering from nightmares or is ill try to encourage them to respect your space. You and your significant other should be able to have some time to yourselves.

8. YOUR BEDROOM SHOULD BE A PET FREE ZONE

As much as you may love your pets they can be incredibly distracting in your bedroom.

9. PUT YOUR CIGARETTES AND BOOZE AWAY

These can negatively impact the quality of your sleep.

10. GIVE EACH OTHER A NICE MASSAGE

Nothing is better than a relaxing massage and getting one from the person you love at the end of a tough day is even better.

#11. GET PHYSICAL

Affection is important in the bed room, it can show your partner your feelings and create a comfortable and intimate environment.
